Second Breakfast

This is an exhibition of work by WSA Fine Art Alumni, to be shown in The Winchester Gallery to coincide with the 2024 Degree Show. 

Second Breakfast is conceived as a sequel to Snappy Title. It takes a single current work from each of ten graduates from the Shared Drive years, with a view to representing the full range of practice encompassed by the programme. It serves a ‘where are they now?’ function and offers graduating students a sense of the professional continuum which they may chose to be part of following graduation. 

The number of artists and works is intended to allow a spacious hang in The Winchester Gallery, and will be presented to be separate from, but related to the Degree Show, and to serve all exhibiting programmes as a visual focal point. 

The artists invited to show will also be the guests at the Fine Art Symposium, the concluding, celebratory review of the Degree Show, scheduled for 11 June. The event will thus start with the Second Breakfast artists introducing their own work to the graduating students, prior to the students leading the guests on a tour of the Degree Show.
